Cindy
As a child growing up creating things with
her hands just seemed natural for Cindy from needlepoint to hooked
rugs to playing the flute. After years as a paralegal, executive
assistant, and most recently as the marketing manager for a consulting
firm, she realized that it was time to reawaken her creative-side
and change from a suit into a smock.
Childhood craft projects combined with a variety of fine art and
design courses in college, and recently at Parsons School of Design
in NYC, helped her hone in on a true love for illustration. Combining
her art with the thoughtful messages found in greeting cards made
it all the better and Bluerose Design was founded.
Scott
Although not artistic by nature, Cindy's lovely husband Scott plays
a key role when it comes to collaboration on all issues concerning
Bluerose Design. Based on his keen business sense from Business
School and his professional experience, he has been appointed Executive
Vice President of What, which means Scott is often called upon
to answer questions such as: What do you think of this? ~ What do
you think I should do? ~ What do you think I should use? Everyone
who knows him will tell you that Scott has a lot of patience, which
may be his most valuable asset ;)!
When they're not sharpening pencils, Cindy and Scott can be found
spending time with family, and looking for further inspiration at
antique shows, botanical gardens and museums, or just around the
corner.
